It seems like almost everyone is using Gmail these days. It is certainly a convenient and powerful e-mail tool. But even Google can be subjected to hacking attempts, phishing, etc. And recently it was reported that many government officials had fallen prey to having their e-mail accounts attacked.
So what can you do?
Google provides lots of tools within their Gmail program to help you detect and guard against these things. In addition, there are other tips for keeping your mail safe.
